Brainstorming sessions

First meeting: 28/05/2012

First ideas:

People find something that can mean fortunate in Netherlands.

Inspirational stuff: internet, book and tourguide.

Things about fortunate:

XXX (logo of luck in  Netherlands),  flower and animal (the meaning of flower etc.), specical house.

Target group:

Family/comrade/companion

Way for play:

Different story line: If people choose different choice, they will go to different next place. It likes a RPG Game.

 

Second meeting: 02/07/2012

We have changed the idea because fortunate is difficult to express.

Idea:

1)Do some special action or find the things that own in Netherlands.

2)Mix culture of The Netherlands and game.

For example: see a architectual photo and find it, do some stated action etc.

Task:

It will be a race. Player will become member in the facebook group of our game. We see the photo which player take and upload. Player must finish the game in time limit.

Finally, we choose the winner per month. Winner will have a certificate for memory.

Target group:

Team (family/comrade/companion) and young player because they will go lots of place.

 

Third meeting: 03/07/2012

Notes:

Idea:

Introduce culture about The Nethelands with mode of game.

Change:

Our idea have revoluted because the latest idea is too many informations and purpose is not clear enough.

At this time, we choose eat, entertainment and charecteristic in The Netherlands. If we intensify the boudary, the purpose will be clearly than before that easy to prepare he settings of our game.

As far as time limit, we change to be no time limit for player to play. It is because they can enjoy their travel which is not a race.

About interaction, player will take photo in most of task. Then, they can upload photos to our game’s facebook group that share their experiences.

 

Forth meeting:06/07/2012

Idea:

We have consituted our theme of game – “conquer the Nethelands”. Player must find all of X (XXX) to complete the gamethat means how to conquer Amsterdam.

Aim:

Lead players to touch the culture of the Netherlands through this game.

Story:

This World could be destroy on December 2012. Could the Nethelands avoid this disaster?

Our challenge, you, go to find 3X (XXX) in Amsterdam and save our place that we live~

Detail of game:

1) 3 levels in game

2) Players go to somewhere, find the “X” and finish the task. Then, they can go to the next place.

About XXX

XXX means fortortune and avoid disaster.

The first X is  flood.

The second X is blaze.

The third X is plague.

 

 

Designing the concept

Team name

We have chosen “XXX” of our team because it is a lot of “XXX” in the Netherlands. We hope player would remember our game when they see “XXX”.

Banner

Background is the scene or map of Amsterdam. A wirecloth is coved most of the background.

Logo

It looks like banner, but it is no background.

We have designed a fairy that leads to the players, but we don’t use it at the least.

About the image, it have the outlook like Chinese. It is because this game has some Chinese elements that means we come from China.

Unfortunately, we had lost the way in process because this fairy has any relationship about Amsterdam.

So, we don’t use it because it cannot present the Netherlands.

 

Prototyping your concept with 7scenes

We usually discuss in our school because school is a good place to gather for us. We have borrowed many books from library for researching. We sometimes use internet to research but a lot of people will find the same information.

Also, we discussed in facebook group and skype.

Translation

A team member have written the process of game. Then, she gave it to someone who she trusts that goes to check gammer and correct.

It is because google’s translation is usually incorrected.

The final concept

Introduuction

(We want all people can enjoy the game, so we delete the limit because the elder people may play slowly.)

1)Take photos – architecture, find someone that is Dutch and do an  action about “XXX”.

2)Go to the ordered place

Interaction

A facebook group

Player can make a new album for their own team to upload their photos. Oranization will match the incoming tasks nd photos, they will choose the winner per month. Winnwe will have a certificate for memory from organization.

Although the players maybe the tourtist and come from different countries, they would be learn many different languages in the game by the organization.

Strategy for implementation in Amsterdam

This concept is necessary for Amsterdam. It is bacause the scene and architecture in Amsterdam we can see or visit that are not appeared in other place and countries.
